Job Title: Group Head of Technical

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced technical manager to lead our multi-site technical department. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to deliver high-quality products for our largest retail partners and will have experience in developing technical teams, policies, and procedures within a multi-site manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical department with diligence, independent judgment, and a values-led approach.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes across the cluster.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop and deliver the Food Safety & Quality culture across the business.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on all Food Safety, quality, and technical matters related to the Cluster.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in a technical management role within the chilled food industry for 5+ years.
  • Knowledge of HACCP (Level 4 minimum), BRC, and other food safety management systems including customer (retailer) standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Salary – circa £110k + car allowance + benefits.
