The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Commercial Manager.

As a Trainee Commercial Manager, you will be immersed in all aspects of the commercial processes, gaining hands-on experience and learning from our experienced team.

You will assist in managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and efficiency, while developing a deep understanding of the civil engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in cost management, including budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Learn to manage contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Support in procurement, ensuring value for money and quality.
  • Help identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects.
  • Develop skills in managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Participate in regular site visits to gain practical insights into project delivery and site operations.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A keen interest in the civil engineering and construction sectors, with a desire to build a career in commercial management.
  • Strong numerical abilities, attention to detail, and an analytical mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and take on new challenges.
