The Hastings District Council Finance team is dedicated to delivering exceptional financial services across all aspects of the Council.
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing debtor queries, and maintaining accurate records and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and sending invoices to customers
- Responding to debtor queries in a timely and professional manner
- Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to facilitate payment
- Completing end-of-month duties and providing monthly reports
You will be part of a supportive and diverse team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your position and work closely with the wider finance operations team.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Diploma in Business/Accounting principles or equivalent level of learning through experience
- Have excellent written and spoken English skills
- Have experience in accounts receivable and a proven history of accuracy
- Be able to work calmly under pressure and manage high workloads while maintaining a high level of accuracy
