Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in Hastings. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a comprehensive suite of accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders to limited companies.
  • Traditional Accounting: Utilize a mix of traditional and modern accounting methods, leveraging software tools like Iris, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
  • Mixed Workload: Handle a varied workload spanning accounts, tax, and bookkeeping to ensure comprehensive support for client needs.
  • Succession Planning: Support a partner transitioning into a more compliance-focused role by gradually taking over client management and portfolio responsibilities.
  • Collaborative Team: Work alongside a team of approximately 5 members in the Hastings office, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified, or fully qualified.
  • Proven experience in a general practice role, demonstrating proficiency in accounts, tax, and bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, including Iris, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
