Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Task Writer to join our team at Pearson. As a Task Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality question papers and assessment materials for our international exams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write question papers, mark schemes, and assessment objective grids that meet the specification's content and assessment criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Examiner to ensure that the question tasks demonstrate how the specification's content and assessment criteria have been met.
  • Ensure that the question tasks are clear, fit for purpose, and provide a similar balance of content and assessment criteria.
  • Take account of feedback from previous assessment sessions and make amendments to materials as required.
  • Produce working draft materials, edit materials, and complete checklist forms at each stage of production.
  • Attend the Qualification Paper Evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience of teaching a relevant subject and level.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (desirable).
  • Be based in one of the following countries: Singapore, Hong Kong, Cyprus, or China.
