We are seeking a skilled interpreter translator to join our team at Language Empire. As a freelance interpreter translator, you will have the opportunity to work with various clients across the UK, providing high-quality interpreting and translation services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and translating languages for clients in a variety of settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations. You will work independently, using your own equipment and resources, and will be required to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret languages for clients in face-to-face, telephone, and video settings
  • Translate written materials, such as documents and reports
  • Work with clients to ensure accurate understanding and communication
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
Requirements
  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
