Culinary Operations Manager at Norse Group
Salary: £27,20 pro rata Equates to £13.44 per hour Location: Gatehouse Primary Academy, Dawlish Hours per week: 27.5 Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 2pm, term time onlyNorse Group is seeking a skilled Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the kitchen at Gatehouse Primary Academy on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will leverage your culinary expertise to create an engaging and diverse menu that emphasizes locally sourced and nutritious ingredients, while providing exceptional customer service to the school community. You will manage the catering department, focusing on children with complex, severe, and profound learning difficulties, ensuring that modified diets and accommodations for allergies and sensory needs are met.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to menu planning and cost analysis, ensuring the delivery of a nutritious lunchtime meal, and leading a small on-site team to maintain high standards of food preparation and timely service.
Required Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about food service and eager to establish a new kitchen operation. Ideal applicants will possess:
Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to manage catering staff while actively participating in meal preparation and cooking Expertise in menu development and budgeting, with a commitment to promoting healthy and nutritious dining options A valid Food Hygiene qualification, with practical experience in a catering settingWhat We Offer:
Salaries for part-time roles are calculated pro-rata based on the full-time equivalent salary listed in the advertisement, based on your contracted hours.
