Located in the picturesque town of Southwell, our racecourse is renowned for its all-weather track and vibrant sporting events. As one of the busiest racecourses in the East Midlands, we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience for both participants and visitors.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a high-quality racing environment throughout the year. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing a comprehensive maintenance schedule for the racing course under the guidance of the Clerk of the Course.
- Preparing the course for racing events, including setup and restoration before, during, and after races, utilizing various machinery and maintenance equipment.
- Operating a range of gardening and agricultural tools, vehicles, and chemicals as part of daily duties.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and best practices as outlined in the company's health and safety policies.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong commitment to maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest standards.
- The ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions and undertake physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with agricultural and gardening equipment.
Work Environment
This role may require working outside of standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
