Key Responsibilities
- Delivering an outstanding pharmacy service that adheres to current regulations, clinical standards, and accepted ethical practices.
- Providing expert guidance and support to medical staff and patients, ensuring the safe, effective, and economical use of medications.
- Advising on the secure management of pharmaceuticals across the organization, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and professional standards.
- Advocating for a patient-centered, collaborative approach to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Must be GPHC registered with no restrictions or conditions on registration.
- A minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience in a hospital setting at ward level is required.
- Ability to analyze clinical and managerial challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Capability to challenge clinical practices to promote evidence-based approaches.
- Commitment to sharing best practices with colleagues to improve service quality and standards.
- Proven experience in partnership with consultants to develop innovative service solutions.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and mentorship of peers.
Desirable Qualifications
- Clinical diploma is preferred.
- Supervisory or management qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience collaborating with consultants and across clinical teams is beneficial.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the independent healthcare sector is desirable.
- Support for local business development initiatives.
- Effective stock and budget management skills.
- Experience within an independent sector hospital pharmacy environment is advantageous.
