We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically excellent audiologist or clinical scientist to lead and shape paediatric audiology services in the acute setting.
The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership qualities, a strong clinical background, and a passion for paediatric audiology.
The role will involve leading and strategic development of the paediatric audiology service, working closely with colleagues in the community paediatric team, and overseeing paediatric hearing tests, hearing aid provision, and diagnostic tests for babies.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and develop the paediatric audiology service, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the community paediatric team to provide comprehensive care for children with hearing impairments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for paediatric audiology services, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct paediatric hearing tests, hearing aid provision, and diagnostic tests for babies, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to colleagues, promoting excellence in paediatric audiology practice.
- BSc/MSc in Audiology or a related field.
- Evidence of competence in ABR testing and paediatric hearing aid fittings.
- Experience of leading paediatric audiology services, with a strong clinical background and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of national guidelines and protocols for paediatric audiology services.
