About the Role

Mackenzie Jones is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our buying department, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a range of health and beauty brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Process Management: Manage each stage of the procurement process, including product selection, negotiation, forecasting, and monitoring sales to ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and carry out competitive analysis to identify and suggest new product ranges.
  • Performance Reporting: Run weekly and monthly reports to analyze performance and make improvements to product ranges.
  • Supplier Management: Manage, maintain, and develop relationships with suppliers, negotiating with them for the best pricing.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage all the administration associated with the brands for which you are responsible.
  • Presentations: Attend monthly buyer and product meetings to present new product ranges to the Board of Directors.
  • Travel: UK and European travel to attend trade shows and supplier meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience: Entry-level buying or merchandising admin experience.
  • Product Knowledge: A real passion for product.
  • Attention to Detail: Really strong attention to detail and admin skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A team player with good interpersonal skills – able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commerciality and able to keep up to date and aware of market trends, changes in demand.
  • Presentation Skills: Enjoys presenting to colleagues and the senior team.
What We Offer
  • Salary: Up to £25,000 (depending on experience).
  • Holidays: 21 days holiday plus bank holidays.
