Key Responsibilities- Procurement Process Management: Manage each stage of the procurement process, including product selection, negotiation, forecasting, and monitoring sales to ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and carry out competitive analysis to identify and suggest new product ranges.
- Performance Reporting: Run weekly and monthly reports to analyze performance and make improvements to product ranges.
- Supplier Management: Manage, maintain, and develop relationships with suppliers, negotiating with them for the best pricing.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage all the administration associated with the brands for which you are responsible.
- Presentations: Attend monthly buyer and product meetings to present new product ranges to the Board of Directors.
- Travel: UK and European travel to attend trade shows and supplier meetings.
- Experience: Entry-level buying or merchandising admin experience.
- Product Knowledge: A real passion for product.
- Attention to Detail: Really strong attention to detail and admin skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: A team player with good interpersonal skills – able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
- Commercial Awareness: Commerciality and able to keep up to date and aware of market trends, changes in demand.
- Presentation Skills: Enjoys presenting to colleagues and the senior team.
- Salary: Up to £25,000 (depending on experience).
- Holidays: 21 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Flexible Working: 5 days in the office.
- Pension Scheme: Scottish Widows pension Scheme.
