We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in providing exceptional care and support to children with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide managerial control and direction to staff, ensuring they meet the needs of children effectively.
- Assist the Registered Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose and supporting the staff team.
- Supervise new starters during their probationary period and identify individual training and development needs.
- Work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people.
- Ensure each member of staff is aware of each child's placement plan and their responsibilities for its implementation.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating pro-social ways of managing behaviours associated with diagnosis.
- Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Good understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people with complex needs and/or learning disabilities.
- Level 3 children and Young people qualification.
- At least 2 years' experience in a Senior/Team Leader position working with children and young people.
- Ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parent/carers, and other professionals.
- Proven skills, knowledge, and/or experience in managing and leading a team in a positive and effective manner.
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records of good standard and verbally present information and views.
- Driving Licence (preferred but not essential).
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Fully paid induction programme.
