Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Checker to join our team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our catering services. As a Flight Checker, you will play a critical role in maintaining the excellence of our products and services, working closely with our production team to ensure that every meal meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on prepared meals to ensure they meet our specifications and comply with menu cards.
  • Verify special meal requests and last-minute changes, reporting any discrepancies to the Shift Manager.
  • Perform final quality and quantity checks on packed flights to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and implement systems to improve quality and efficiency, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management on task status.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and department heads, promoting a positive and professional service culture.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a chilled environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate with colleagues and departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Physical skills, including movement, coordination, and dexterity.
