Job Title: Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at AWD online. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization's final products meet compliance to legal standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes to meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Devise and review specifications for products or processes to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Work closely with department heads to drive continuous improvement through RCA and 5 Why analysis.
  • Collaborate with the site OPEX team to drive a culture of continuous improvement and corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and legal obligations for products made and site health and safety policy.
  • Supervise coordinators, inspectors, and technicians, providing guidance and feedback for quality improvement.
  • Oversee trial product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.
  • Approve or reject products to ensure a robust isolation process is managed with department heads.
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis of products with scope.
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate managers and plant management.
  • Ensure effective feedback to all customers on complaints in a timely and effective manner, with all corrective actions completed in an agreed timeframe.
  • Continually support opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures to ensure quality compliance.
  • Ensure all team members are trained to carry out their job role, working closely with department heads to ensure all team members are trained in quality compliance for their respective department.
  • Work with and form healthy relationships with regional Quality to ensure corporate initiatives are adhered to and implemented.
Requirements:
  • Extensive proven experience as a quality manager, ideally from a plastics manufacturing background.
  • Conscientious and responsible with a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • A keen eye for detail and a result-driven approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and strong leadership skills with the ability to develop teams across a multi-functional manufacturing process.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods and the ability to identify trends and react accordingly.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant quality discipline is essential.
  • Knowledge of FSSC 22000 or BRC certification desirable.
