Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering design solutions for a range of construction projects across multiple sectors.

About the Role

You will be involved in a portfolio of bespoke electrical projects, taking them from initial brief through scheme and detail design to installation and commissioning support. You will collaborate with other engineers and technicians, provide input to the design, attend site and client meetings, and perform a range of other duties associated with each project.

Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering/Building Services related degree
  • Minimum 2 years post-grad experience
  • Experience in the design of electrical systems in buildings/built environment, including lighting, small power, fire detection & alarm, low voltage distribution, security and CCTV, and access control
  • Experience of producing design drawings, specifications, and report writing skills
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, Amtech or similar cable sizing software, and Dialux or similar lighting calculation software
  • Desirable criteria: Revit experience and NBS Chorus
