Equities Risk Support Specialist

A prominent financial institution is seeking a seasoned Support Specialist to join their Front Office Equities and Equity Derivatives Risk division. This role involves providing second-line support and enhancements to critical systems related to Margin Calculation, Collateral Management, and the overall infrastructure that supports Equity Trading operations.

The selected candidate will engage directly with traders, risk management professionals, and external stakeholders, delivering expert support in Risk Trading. Responsibilities include optimizing system performance, deploying infrastructure solutions, and analyzing the requirements for the integration and implementation of global trading systems.

Applicants should possess a thorough understanding of Front Office production environments within large-scale distributed systems, ideally acquired from experience in an investment banking or hedge fund setting. Proficiency in Unix and Front Office infrastructure is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Production Support Analyst services
  • Deliver Front Office Application Support across asset classes such as FX, Equities, or Fixed Income
  • Ensure Service Reliability
  • Manage Risk, including Collateral and Exposure
  • Perform database manipulation using SQL
  • Offer L1 and L2 Production Support
  • Utilize Unix/Linux scripting languages (Bash/Shell/Python)
  • Monitor systems using tools like ITRS Geneos or similar
