Job Title: Kitchen Porter Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our clients, and contributing to the overall success of our business. Key Responsibilities: * Assist chefs in the preparation and cooking of food as required * Clean all equipment, crockery, and cutlery as needed * Take delivery of stock, including food and provisions, and account for such items * Support cleaning, periodic cleaning, and deep cleaning as required * Ensure all food is handled in accordance with the standards specified in the Food Safety & Quality Management System * Remove waste promptly and place it in the correct waste containers in accordance with the site waste management plan * Carry out tasks in the most efficient manner * Participate as a HACCP Team member if required * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant H&S legislation and Codes of Practice * Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required * Ensure all raw materials and packaging materials are stored in the correct areas of the site * Receive deliveries and check supplier invoices in accordance with company systems and procedures * Carry out projects or other tasks as requested by the Unit Manager/Chef Manager Requirements: * No formal education is required * Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects * Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions * Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus * Strong communication and teamwork skills About Us: Holroyd Howe is one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.
