Senior Highway Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and delivery of complex highway projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of highway projects, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs, and construction management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of design teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in highway design and construction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in highway design and delivery, with a strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct design teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in highway design and construction.
