Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Trainee Yard Assistant. This role will involve supporting our engineers in the daily running of the warehouse and yard, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, deliveries are checked in, and parts/spares are available for the engineers.

The successful candidate will be trained to assist with confined space entries and second man site works, with the opportunity to progress to trainee engineer. They will also be responsible for liaising with the office to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner and are available in good time for the engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily running of the warehouse and yard
  • Maintain stock levels and check in deliveries
  • Ensure parts/spares are available for the engineers
  • Support engineers with confined space entries and second man site works
  • Liaise with the office to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Full driving licence and ability to drive a transit van
  • Methodical and organized with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good listener and team player
