Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in the East Midlands. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in enabling service users to improve their quality of life and live independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality and Service Provision: Maintain a high level of quality in service provision by meeting quality expectations and agreed performance criteria, participating in management information and information collection systems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service.
  • Own Development: Continuously review own performance and development needs to assist growth and development by participating in open two-way dialogue during Performance Management meetings, agreeing own task and development objectives, and reviewing these against the competency framework and skills profile for the Support Worker role.
  • Health and Safety & Risk Management: Ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues by maintaining good housekeeping standards, completing risk assessments when necessary, taking personal responsibility for own safety, and complying with all H&S policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and codes of conduct by meeting all regulatory requirements and complying with the organisation's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Service Users: Proactively deliver a high-quality, person-centred service provision that meets the needs of service users by supporting individuals with personal care, housekeeping duties, promoting independence, and working as an effective member of the team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or relevant sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassion and empathy towards service users
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures
