Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in the East Midlands. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in enabling service users to improve their quality of life and live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to service users with individual needs, promoting independence, wellbeing, rights, and responsibilities.
  • Deliver day-to-day care and support, ensuring service users receive the best possible care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high level of quality in service provision.
  • Participate in the induction of new colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues, adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with internal and external standards and codes of conduct, meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively deliver a high-quality, person-centred service provision that meets the needs of service users.
  • Support individuals with personal care, housekeeping duties, and promoting independent living.
  • Work as an effective member of the team, providing advice and information to service users and others as needed.
  • Deliver agreed support packages to quality standards, liaising with external professional groups as required.
  • Ensure record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care or support role, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
