About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' systems and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety-critical systems and software for defence and nuclear applications
  • Conduct hazard identification and analysis, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on safety-critical systems and software
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, software engineering)
  • Proven experience in safety-critical systems and software development for defence and nuclear applications
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g. BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C)
