A leading global education technology firm is seeking a Human Resources Consultant for their Swindon office. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the HR Business Partners, serving as a primary resource for employee inquiries, offering insights on HR policies, facilitating employee relations, and supporting essential HR functions such as onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement strategies. The position may require occasional visits to the Brentford office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to provide insights on policies, HR practices, and address employee/manager inquiries.
  • Manage basic Employee Relations cases, including investigations related to disciplinary actions and grievances.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, including probation periods, leave management, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Oversee performance management activities, including goal setting and improvement plans.
  • Address escalated HR Help queries and assist with onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews.
  • Support HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, diversity initiatives, and policy revisions.
  • Identify and escalate trends in employee concerns to develop proactive solutions.
  • Enhance the People Assist knowledge library by addressing frequent inquiries and anticipating needs.
  • Work alongside the HR Coordinator to ensure accurate metrics and maintain data integrity.
  • Analyze absence trends and report findings to HR Business Partners.
  • Review feedback from exit interviews, identify patterns, and assist in formulating action plans.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years in an HR Consultant or similar capacity, with a comprehensive understanding of HR principles, employment law, and best practices.
  • At least CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experienced in analyzing and presenting HR data effectively.
  • Strong capability to build trust and foster relationships at all organizational levels, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail in managing documents, records, and compliance, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
