About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Audit Quality Directorate (AQD) in an exciting period of growth and expansion. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our audit quality function and contributing to the delivery of high-quality audits.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in managing and executing audit and audit-related projects, with a strong understanding of auditing standards and their practical application. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to our audit teams, as well as developing and implementing audit methodologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute audit and audit-related projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to auditing standards
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to audit teams, including training and coaching
  • Develop and implement audit methodologies and processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency
  • Collaborate with senior managers and directors to drive audit quality initiatives and improve overall audit performance
  • Contribute to the development of audit quality policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
Requirements
  • ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification
  • Significant current hands-on practical asset management and capital markets audit/CASS experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team, using own initiative
  • Ability to think outside the box and pioneer in using existing methodology and best practice to develop new approaches
  • Wide-ranging practical experience regarding application of ISAs and audit methodology, with experience in IT auditing techniques an added advantage
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience of training design, development, and delivery, with experience as an audit manager essential
