Position Overview:
The Pyramid At Anderston is seeking a dedicated and skilled Culinary Community Coordinator to join our team. This role involves preparing and catering meals for a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds and cultures. The Culinary Community Coordinator will have a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our organization, including providing meals for our Holiday Club during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals for community events, including but not limited to, community gatherings, external events, and ready meals for our Community Shop.
- Collaborate with the Chief Officer to ensure high-quality food service for children attending our Holiday Club.
- Plan and prepare ready meals for the Community Shop on a weekly basis.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance our food offerings and activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in professional catering, preferably in a community-oriented environment.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food preparation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Competence in record-keeping and computer literacy.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certification, with a commitment to pursue further training.
Compensation: £14 - £16 per hour, fixed-term contract.
