Join Fives as a HSE Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HSE Technician to join our team at Fives North American Combustion in Pinson/Birmingham, AL.

About the Role

As a HSE Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations. This includes monitoring health and safety at designated locations, identifying problems, and suggesting remedies. You will also be responsible for educating, monitoring, and training personnel in safe work procedures, developing and disseminating manuals and documentation around health and safety, and providing employee training programs regarding HSE behaviors and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory and corporate reporting responsibilities for Health, Safety, and Environmental matters
  • Monitoring health and safety at designated locations, including ergonomics, air quality, and waste disposal
  • Knowledge, application, and documentation of state, OSHA, and federal regulations
  • Educating, monitoring, and training personnel in safe work procedures
  • Developing and disseminating manuals and documentation around health and safety
  • Providing employee training programs regarding HSE behaviors and compliance
  • Maintaining facility compliance records, reports, and permits
Requirements
  • Experience working with multiple languages, especially Spanish
  • Ability to travel for extended periods, including weekends and holidays
  • Broad general knowledge of the principles and practices of OSHA / EPA /MSHA / ISO
  • Experience working in office and field settings
  • Ability to work in a construction environment
  • Ability to train and present information effectively to others
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
