We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our School Age Team at North Middlesex University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address the needs of children and young people.
- Collaborate with education staff, parents, and carers to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Provide training and education to education staff, parents, and carers on speech and language therapy techniques and strategies.
- Recognized speech and language therapy degree or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council for Licence to Practice.
- Registered member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
- Experience of working as a Speech and Language Therapist in an education setting with children who have speech, language, and communication needs.
- Knowledge of SEN and national documents providing support and guidance to schools on supporting children with SEN.
- Ability to relate clinical theory to clinical practice.
- Experience of different intervention methods for children of school age.
- Knowledge and experience of a range of methods of assessment appropriate for school age children.
- Car Driver/owner.
