About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Sandstone Care Group. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional support to our kitchen staff, and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain cooking equipment, utensils, and kitchen areas to the highest standards.
  • Food Preparation Support: Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing and peeling vegetables, and loading dishes into the dishwasher.
  • Kitchen Organization: Clean and sanitize the kitchen at the end of each shift, ensuring it is ready for the next day.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a kitchen environment is essential.
  • Food Hygiene: A Level 2 in food hygiene is desirable but not essential.
