About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing care home teams across your region, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and service to our residents.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop care home teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and service
  • Implement action plans to meet residents' needs and improve care standards
  • Lead by example and monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance
  • Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager and help with everything from care standards to motivating the team
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, along with evidence of continual professional development. You will also need to have experience in helping residents with different health needs, managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
