Position Overview

We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity to spearhead the implementation of family-centered interventions and systemic psychotherapy within a specialized team focused on the mental health of children and adolescents. The selected candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Nurses, Medical Professionals, and a Dietitian, as well as dedicated clinicians specializing in transitions for eating disorders. This team has experienced significant growth and has established robust protocols for service delivery and risk management, maintaining strong connections with broader mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

The role of a Lead Family Therapist is integral to ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices for young individuals facing eating disorders. Responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Delivering specialized therapeutic interventions
  • Contributing to clinical formulations
  • Providing care through collaborative consultations

As a systemic psychotherapist/family therapist, you will possess the expertise to manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, assist families in care planning, and design and implement specialized interventions tailored to children and adolescents experiencing eating disorders.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.
