In this role, you will serve as a liaison between engineering and field operations, providing expert guidance on executing constructability plans. You will lead construction design decisions, interdisciplinary reviews, and project staffing. You will monitor construction performance and review deliverables. You will utilize your expertise to improve Bechtel's existing methods by initiating project assessments and implementing improvements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject:
- Provides construction recommendations on multiple disciplines/functional integration.
- Facilitates the development and execution of approved constructability ideas and plans.
- Organizes input to the constructability program process and schedule, identifying construction-related requirements to other functions in time to support their estimating efforts during project development/Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
- Develops and disseminates constructability review matrices.
- Conducts constructability awareness training.
Non-Project:
- Develops and delivers constructability awareness training and/or enterprise or project supervisory and technical training.
- Maintains/develops enterprise-wide processes and procedures.
- Coordinates with projects to implement quality management systems.
- Sponsors and develops enterprise applications.
- Advises and contributes to proposal efforts.
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Extensive working knowledge of rigging planning and execution standards and requirements.
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience in construction engineering in the use of lifting equipment, alternative heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, jacking, tailing, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems, including an understanding of transport/transfer of equipment, soil mechanics, and structural steel design.
- Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Indian standards and specifications and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction/rigging activities.
- Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
- Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to the area of responsibility.
- Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
