We are partnering with a Local Authority to assist with the appointment of a Countryside Warden on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for consideration.
Compensation: Hourly Rate
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of strategies, policies, and procedures to meet current and future requirements for conservation and community development in line with best practices and changes in legislation that support the Council's Corporate Plan.
- To conduct market research and promote facilities, including seeking suitable funding, to develop a range of events aimed at encouraging greater enjoyment, use, and appropriate public access consistent with a visitor attraction and conservation area.
- To identify and agree on an appropriate program that meets the demands of the visitor attraction sector while remaining environmentally sensitive in terms of the conservation of the countryside experience.
- To conduct risk assessments for all countryside water hazards to ensure compliance with the Council's Water Safety policy.
- To lead, motivate, and appraise staff reporting directly to the post holder within agreed timescales and promote the development of staff to ensure the coordination of all work programs to meet and achieve the objectives of the Council.
