About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Delivery team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
  3. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  4. Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  5. Develop and maintain contract filing systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  6. Assist in the production of contract programs, ensuring timely completion and effective project delivery.
  7. Monitor project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  8. Provide data and insights to support the development of O&M manuals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  9. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of goods and services.
  10. Monitor subcontract performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  11. Assist in the preparation of construction completion and take-over documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  12. Develop and maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback to team members and stakeholders.
  13. Undertake additional duties, training, and hours of work as reasonably required, consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
  14. Promote a professional and positive image of the department, maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  15. Take all reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality and maintain the integrity of company information.
  16. Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progression of quality solutions, evaluating innovative ideas and processes.
  17. Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  18. Ensure designs are developed, safe to construct, commission, operate, and maintain, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
About You

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in engineering, contract management, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A basic engineering background, with a working knowledge of various conditions of contract, especially NEC.
  2. An engineering or technical qualification (HNC minimum) and experience of supply chain expedition.
  3. Knowledge of water and waste water treatment processes, CDM, and Health & Safety.

Desirable:

  1. Relevant professional qualification, such as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
  2. A collaborative approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
