About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and understanding Support Worker to join our team at iMap Centre Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding support to adults with autism, enabling them to achieve their aspirations and make the most of every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support adults with autism in their daily lives, helping them to meet their personal care needs and promoting independence.
  • Directly support adults with autism in their day-to-day activities, including supporting with health and wellbeing, attending appointments, and arranging social activities.
  • Support opportunities in the community, actively encouraging independence and promoting social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a high-quality support service, ensuring the needs of adults with autism are met.
Essential Skills
  • Be compassionate and understanding, with a strong ability to empathize with adults with autism.
  • Be a dynamic problem solver, able to work well under pressure and think creatively.
  • Have excellent verbal and listening skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with adults with autism and their families.
  • Have excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively as part of a team.
