About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, and inspections to ensure the smooth operation of our electrical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to electrical services equipment
  • Responding to reactive and emergency breakdown tasks in a prompt and effective manner
  • Inspecting and diagnosing electrical faults and issues
  • Ensuring onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to and maintaining accurate records/documentation
  • Coordinating initial actions associated with client requests and assisting in coordinating visiting specialist sub-contractors
  • Responding to call outs and covering breakdowns and emergencies associated with electrical services
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Maintaining site-based records and log books
  • Carrying out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximise life expectancy of equipment
  • Proactively working to reduce energy consumption and recommending improvements
  • Working to all health, safety, compliance and local policies and procedures
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with customers

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent; or Health and Safety Training
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules
  • Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection
  • Experienced in High Voltage switching
  • Good Mechanical experience/knowledge
  • C&G in a Mechanical discipline or recognised equivalent (ie NVQ)
  • Good knowledge of AHU's, FCU's, AC systems, Pumps, Motors, Pipework, Plumbing and Drainage systems
  • A good understanding of Critical Systems and Non-Critical systems

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent
  • Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry
  • Experience in computer PPM management systems
  • Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Supervisory experience for future development
