About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment, as well as reactive and emergency breakdown tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment, including electrical installation work, testing, and inspection.
  • Responding to reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Conducting inspections, fault finding, and diagnosis to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with electrical aspects of the PPM and plant.
  • Coordinating with visiting specialist sub-contractors to ensure seamless execution of electrical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels and company standards.
  • Completing job sheets electronically on a Tablet or Smartphone.
  • Maintaining site-based records and log books.
  • Carrying out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximize life expectancy of all equipment.
  • Proactively working to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommending improvements.
  • Working to all health, safety, compliance, and local policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with our customers – face-to-face, telephone, and email.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers.
  • Health and Safety Training.
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
  • Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
  • Experienced in High Voltage switching.
  • Good Mechanical experience/knowledge.
  • C&G in a Mechanical discipline or recognized equivalent (ie NVQ).
  • Good knowledge of AHU's, FCU's, AC systems, Pumps, Motors, Pipework, Plumbing, and Drainage systems.
  • A good understanding of Critical Systems and Non-Critical systems.

Desirable Qualifications

We also welcome applicants with:

  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry.
  • Experience in computer PPM management systems.
  • Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
