Senior Process Development Scientist/Engineer

At Abercorn Sinclair, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Development Scientist/Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a critical role in the development and scale-up of new and existing products from the bench to commercial scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and scale-up of new and existing products
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Quality departments to ensure scaled operations are considered early in the development cycle
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory and demonstration scale upstream and downstream processes
- Present and formally report experimental conclusions and supporting data for internal peer review
- Lead the successful and smooth transfer of processes from laboratory-based R&D to commercial scale
- Provide scientific and technical support to colleagues in the Production department
- Identify and prioritize routes for development for new and existing products in response to market demand and scientific and technical advances
- Contribute to writing grant applications to support research activities
- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous capability development through coaching, mentoring, and/or developing colleagues within the team and business unit
Requirements:
- Proven track record of bringing new products to market and progressing development projects up the Technology Readiness scale
- Technical experience with scale-up, process development, and optimization
- Experience and/or ability to coordinate scale-up projects with external contractors both industrial and academic
- Experience actively challenging and influencing projects and teams to drive results
- Experience of line management, training, supervision of technical staff
