Are you ready to lead a transformative Children's Social Services team?

Oldham Council is in search of an innovative and strategic leader who is dedicated to continuous enhancement to guide our Ofsted rated 'Good' Children's Social Services towards achieving Outstanding status.

This pivotal role encompasses oversight of various teams within Children's Services Integration, Corporate Parenting, Safeguarding, Social Work Services, and Early Help, managing a workforce of approximately 600 professionals.

As the Director of Children's Social Services, you will be responsible for both the operational and strategic execution of Oldham's Children's Social Services. Your role will involve providing insightful, expert advice on safeguarding and corporate parenting to the Council and its partners. You will spearhead initiatives aimed at elevating standards across the service, fostering a collaborative environment to align future objectives and strategies that will guide us through our ongoing improvement journey.
