Job Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

At Northrop Grumman UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our service engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and repair of complex systems in the UK and worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform service tasks across the UK and worldwide as required.
  • Install, integrate, and test existing and new products in support of programme execution.
  • Conduct installation audits and generate installation audit reports for customer acceptance.
  • Diagnose and fix issues on naval platforms in accordance with in-service support contracts.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Provide technical support to customers and/or other engineers as required.
  • Travel regularly within the UK, with support provided by a company car.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a field service engineer, preferably in the defence industry.
  • Understanding of the defence environment and complex systems.
  • Experience of practical fault-finding on complex equipment.
  • PC configuration experience with networking and IT skills.
  • Familiarity with maritime systems such as radar.
  • Knowledge of control systems and networking is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
