About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our engineering team as a Mechanical Technician Trainee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of our plant and machinery, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant and machinery, identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to implement preventative maintenance programs, ensuring that our equipment is in good working order.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of technical issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future failures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles and practices.Ability to problem-solve and think critically.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
