Lead Structural Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £50k-£55k plus benefits

Are you a seasoned structural engineer ready to take on a leadership role? Our client, a prominent player in the engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their esteemed team.

They are engaged in a variety of compelling projects spanning multiple sectors such as residential, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, data centres, energy, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Associate Director in overseeing the structural engineering team and managing project workflows.
  2. Collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and clients to ensure project success.
  3. Conduct site visits and perform structural assessments, investigations, and repair strategies for various structures.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. A degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Preferably chartered with ICE, IStructE, or a similar body, or on the path to chartership.
  3. Proven experience in designing foundations, masonry, concrete (including detailing), steel, and timber structures.
  4. Experience in the residential sector, covering both traditional and framed construction methods.
  5. Desirable experience in structural investigations and reporting related to the 'Building Safety Act'.
  6. Proficiency in Tekla software (Tekla designer and Tedds) and ideally familiar with AutoCAD/Revit.
