Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Conducting comprehensive stress analysis on designated components.
  • Collaborating with various support functions, including life management, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Ensuring that all assigned components adhere to technical and functional specifications.
  • Engaging with global engineering teams and other internal departments to facilitate project activities.
  • Preparing and presenting technical documentation and program updates to stakeholders.
  • Documenting engineering activities through Design Study Summaries, Technical Memorandums, and Certification Reports.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or aerospace.
  • Experience with gas turbine systems and proficiency in 2D and 3D stress analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in ANSYS Mechanical APDL, Hypermesh, UG NX, and other relevant modeling software.
  • Familiarity with life analysis methodologies, including fatigue and fracture mechanics.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in PC-based applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as specialized software for mechanical design. Training will be provided for proprietary applications.

Note: Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be UK citizens, EU citizens, or valid work permit holders.
