CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned legal professional to fill the role of Senior Legal Counsel, International Operations. This position will be integral to our in-house legal team, providing comprehensive legal support across various international jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage a wide array of legal matters pertaining to CoStar's international operations, including but not limited to intellectual property, contract negotiations, and corporate governance.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective legal support.
  • Provide guidance on legal disputes, including content protection and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with the US-based privacy team to manage privacy and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to international regulations.
  • Support international mergers and acquisitions in conjunction with the corporate team.
  • Supervise general corporate activities for international subsidiaries, including regulatory compliance and commercial agreements.
  • Manage international employment-related legal matters, partnering with Human Resources to address workplace issues.
  • Lead anti-piracy efforts in collaboration with the investigative team and external counsel.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A law degree from a reputable institution with outstanding academic credentials.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, including significant time spent at a leading law firm and in-house with a multinational corporation.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of the US legal framework and experience in a multinational context is advantageous.
  • Fluency or advanced proficiency in languages such as French, German, or Spanish is highly desirable.
