We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Inpatients Physiotherapy team at Torbay Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy care to patients on the acute wards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and autonomously to assess, support, care, treat, and advise patients within established guidelines and protocols.
- Contribute to a multi-professional team, undertaking a practitioner role that promotes patient-centered care.
- Implement treatment and care plans under the guidance and supervision of a registered professional, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Collaborate with the team to reduce inpatient length of stay, ensuring patients receive the most appropriate care in the most suitable setting.
- Empower patients and carers to participate in decision-making, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
- Take responsibility for the daily care and support of delegated patients, working closely with qualified staff to maintain best practice within fractured neck of femur pathways.
- Deliver treatment and care in various settings, under the guidance of a registered practitioner, promoting individualized person-centered patient care.
