Job Title: Behaviour Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students who exhibit behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of personalised behaviour management plans to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist students in managing their behaviour through positive reinforcement and clear boundaries, building trusting relationships to help them feel supported and understood.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages social interaction and helps students develop their social and emotional skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future support.
Requirements:
  • Preferably have experience working with children or young people, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient with a passion for supporting vulnerable students, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Work effectively as part of a team but also independently when needed, making a positive contribution to the ethos of our school.

Contract type: Full time, term time only. Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday. Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
