About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our partner school's team, specializing in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the specific needs of students with SEMH difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to support students with English GCSE studies, addressing the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
  • Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide holistic support to students.
  • Differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEMH difficulties.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and valued.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and carers.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in SEMH education.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ NQT
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students with SEMH needs.
