Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality English education tailored to the specific needs of students with SEMH difficulties, focusing on developing coping strategies and achieving academic success.
  • Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide holistic support to students.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEMH difficulties, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and carers.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in SEMH education.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ NQT
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to create a supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students with SEMH needs
