About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Yard Operations Specialist to join our team at Terberg DTS (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard, including shunter and vehicle movements, maintenance work, and general cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shunter and Vehicle Movement: Operate shunters and general vehicles throughout the site, ensuring efficient and safe movement of equipment.
  • Planning and Organization: Plan and organize vehicle movement in line with workshop processing to ensure 'just in time' availability.
  • Assistance with Maintenance: Assist with general building maintenance work, including tidying, health and safety, and other tasks as required.
  • Support to Other Team Members: Provide assistance to other team members as needed, including operating the forklift and working with other departments.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to changing organizational needs and priorities.
Requirements
  • Current Driving License: Possess a current driving license, with a HGV license being an advantage.
  • Forklift License: Hold a forklift license, with onsite training available for those without.
  • Effective Communication and Time Management: Demonstrate effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
