Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Horticultural Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-standard maintenance and renovation of our cemeteries in the north region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the appearance of our cemeteries through meticulous care of turf and border maintenance
  • Operate a range of garden machinery to ensure efficient and effective maintenance
  • Practice sustainable and biodiverse ways of working to minimize our environmental impact
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals and objectives

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent) or practical experience within horticulture
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Experience with a wide range of garden machinery
  • Full UK driver's license (Manual)
  • Punctual, self-motivated, trustworthy, team player, and reliable
  • IT literate
