Job Title: Local Programme Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Programme Director to oversee a Gas Mains Contract for our client in the Utilities space. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of gas infrastructure from a civil perspective, encompassing repairs and replacement strategies.

The role demands extensive programme experience, particularly in implementing and delivering technical solutions. We are looking for someone with a background in utilities who has delivered complex programmes and introduced new, innovative technical projects into an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and demonstrate ownership from start to successful completion, showcasing a proven track record in project lifecycle management.
  2. Operate as a senior stakeholder, actively engaging in strategic decision-making, while also willing to dive into the operational aspects when necessary.
  3. Exhibit authoritative presence and the ability to challenge effectively across various organizational levels, including the Client and Local Delivery Partners.
  4. Embrace a data-driven approach to decision-making and project management, utilizing metrics and insights to drive performance and deliver results.
  5. Leverage extensive gas industry experience to comprehend and integrate Health & Safety standards, local council regulations, partner requirements, legislative mandates, and customer expectations into project planning and execution.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience in overseeing gas mains contracts, with a focus on civil aspects such as repairs and replacements.
  2. Proven capability in managing projects from inception to completion, showcasing leadership and effective stakeholder engagement skills.
  3. Ability to blend strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in operational aspects when necessary.
  4. Strong communication skills to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of data-driven insights for decision-making.
  6. In-depth understanding of Health & Safety regulations, legislative requirements, and customer expectations within the gas industry.
